Vintage 1980's Reproduction Bru Jne 20" Bisque Doll in Victorian Costume

The Bru Jne was produced from 1880 to 1890 and featured various types of body constructions. Some of these dolls featured an all wood body, jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. This construction was wonderful for posing a doll.

This is a beautiful 20" antique reproduction of the Bru Jne  doll.

The body and head are in very good condition , tightly strung and poses well in all her joints.

She is dressed in a handmade red Victorian dress, with black lace trim and white inlay on her chest.

She has a bisque socket head that turns,  jointed reproduction composition joined body with "AJ Ceramics" moulded on the upper back.

On the back of her neck is moulded Vernon Seeley 1980 ,(a well know French artist.)

Her face is beautifully painted ,with big brown glass stationary open eyes.

She has hand painted lashes around her eyes, brush stroke eyes brows and closed moulded red lips.

She has Shinny black long hair with a wave.

This is a collectors item and not suitable for children.
