Very Rare Vintage 1940's Handmade Cloth Doll with Ceramic Head

Very Rare Vintage Handmade 1940's Doll.

The piercing blue eyes light up the face of this extremely rare doll.

The head is made from ceramic and unfortunately has a hairline crack on the front of the face and some marks where the paint is coming away.

The back of the head is intact but again some surface scuffing.

The composition head has moulded hair, which is lightly painted in brown. 

This doll has hand painted red open lips , eyelashes and rosy cheeks.

There is some discolouration of the white cloth body and vest.

The length of the doll is 19 inches and is not jointed.

This doll is very fragile because of its age .

There is no items of clothing with this doll and no marking to identify what country the doll came from or where it was  produced . 

This doll has been refilled with synthetic fibre.

This is a collectors item and not suitable for children.
