Steiff Black Teddy Bear with Growler, Limited Edition Replica 1912(403200)

This beautiful replica teddy bear has a fascinating story.....A collector in England bought a case of old dolls and teddy bears at an auction, by remote bid as she liked the description of the lot.

When she unpacked the case, she discovered a fascinating black bear with no markings and immediately suspected it could be a Steiff teddy bear!

She researched his provenance and to her delight the teddy bear was indeed a Steiff bear from 1912!

In Spring 2015, the replica of this wonderful bear was released; a 34cm tall,5 way jointed ,with a growler and stuffed with wood wool in the traditional way.

This bear is in excellent condition. 

He has jet black mohair, contrasting claws and nose plus a sweet sounding growl.

His paw pads are made of beige felt  and he has gold coloured hand stitched claws, mouth and nose.

He has black wooden eyes and a gold satin bow.

He is a world wide Limited Edition of 1,000 bears.

 He has his original certificate of authenticity and box.

He has a patinated steel button in his ear and is surface washable.
