These easy to follow, step by step, comprehensive instructions with detailed pattern take you through the process of making a festive Needle Case for your pins and needles.

Prints on standard A4 size paper. 

To make this pin cushion you will need:-

.    fabric 1 for outside of Yule log (we used brown felt)

.    fabric 2 for inside of Yule log (we used medium weight brown cotton)

.    fabric 3 to store needles in (we used white felt) 

.    wadding, roughly 1.5cm deep, for filling. This needs to squash down when 

     sewn

.    fabric for holly leaves (we used green felt)

.   1 x red button for holly berry

.    Matching thread, general purpose sewing needle and pins

.    a small amount of polyfibre wadding

.    1 x pair each fabric and paper scissors

.   Tailor’s chalk or a pencil 

A small bag of sand placed inside your pin cushion will help keep your pins sharp.
