These easy to follow, step by step, comprehensive instructions with detailed pattern take you through the process of making a pin cushion that will sharpen your pins.

Prints on standard A4 size paper.
To make this pin cushion you will need:-
. fabric for sides, bottom and criss cross (we used cream felt)
. fabric for top (we used medium weight brown cotton)
. fabric for holly leaves (we used green felt)
. 1 x red button for holly berry
. Matching thread, general purpose sewing needle and pins
. a long needle to go all of the way through the pin cushion
. a small amount of clean, dry sand and an old pair of tights
. a small amount of polyfibre filling
. 1 x pair each fabric and paper scissors
. Pinking shears can also add a great pastry edge finish.
. Tailor’s chalk or a pencil
A small bag of sand placed inside your pin cushion will help keep your pins sharp.
