This beautiful Vintage rare  Christening Gown is made from Clydella, styled by Alexis.

Clydella is the trademarked name for 81% cotton and 19% wool fabric produced by William Hollins & Co of England in the 1950's. It was woven in a mill near Glasgow on the banks of the river Clyde river, from which it takes its name.

Clydella was developed as a shirting for military uniforms in WW1.

Unfortunately it has some brown stains on the back of the garment, and a couple on the front.-(see pics 5,6)

This gown is in really good condition for its age ,other than the marks.

It has Floral lace around the neck line and cuffs, with a delicate white embroidered floral design on the front.

There is a satin white ribbon to fasten into a bow around the middle back of the neckline, and a wide strap to fasten at the back into a bow.

The Chest across the front measures approx 9.5", the length measures 22" and the arm length measures 7.5"

This is a collectors item, .
