How We Make The World A Better Place.

Welcome to our Corporate Social Responsibility page

Because you're here we already know that we share a love of the planet and everything that calls it home.

We'd like to tell you a bit about what we do to make the world a better place and the partners we choose to help us achieve our goals.

We simply LOVE The Word Forest. They do so much good and are the nicest people too.

Let's face it. When it comes to keeping a body healthy, good strong lungs and clean air to breath are key. That goes for planet Earth too and deforestation is stripping away the planet's ability to breath deep and clean.

By supporting the Word Forest we are help them to plant trees near the equator where those trees will grow at rapid speeds, equally important are The Word Forest projects to support the local community around our forest by providing jobs supporting the young trees we help to plant and by build classrooms.

Our rent each month goes to support Lyme Regis Development Trusts, who's  strategy is to: Build local employment and the local economy, especially off-season, by developing innovative opportunities for individuals, community groups and employers. Create the basic foundations to succeed for those people most in need by investing resources in long term social support projects. Be a UK rural innovator in leading-edge community amenities and resources through a series of imaginative, sustainable, modern community programmes expertly implemented and managed.

Here's who we support with our choice of utility providers.

Social responsibility affects everything the Phone Coop do, including how they invest their profits. The Phone Coop do business to make a difference and contribute to a better world.

In 2016 alone they invested over £500,000 in 40 co-operatives, community benefit societies and other socially responsible projects.

The largest investment so far is £300,000 in the share capital of Southill Community Energy, which is a large-scale solar farm in Oxfordshire producing green energy and reducing carbon emissions.

They believe that the principles of co-operation can drive business success whilst delivering mutual benefit contributing towards a more sustainable and fairer world.

After an exhaustive search we found ABC. The vast majority of their products are paper based, which is the most environmentally friendly packaging material available, and helps us to use as little plastic as possible.

The paper-based packaging we use consists of 80% recycled paper and 20% wood from sustainable forests.

All of the boxes are 100% recyclable and biodegradable and we've worked closely together to minimise waste during the design and manufacturing processes.
