Vintage Large Teddy Bear (Possibly Chad Valley 1930's)
A lovely solid looking bear with a distinguished looking face, cupped ears and dark smoked topaz glass eyes.
He is made of golden mohair with some significant playwear consistent with age and use, unfortunately he is unmarked.
His mohair is thinning with large bald patches and he is slightly discoloured.
He has cloth replacement pads.
This bear has a pronounced muzzle and black handstitched nose and mouth but has no claw stitching on his paw pads.
His back has been repaired, also there is a hole in his let ear and a hole in the back of his head.
He is five way jointed, 23 inches in height and stuffed with kapok and wood wool.
The sweet sounding squeaker in his tummy is still working.
We have dressed him in a cream jumper with a medal and blue jeans.
This is a collectors item and not suitable for children.
