These easy to follow, step by step, comprehensive instructions with detailed pattern take you through the process of making a beautiful, Button Jointed Hare using many of the same techniques that Bear Artists have practised for over a Century.

To make April you will need:

.  95cm/37.4” x 45cm/18” (fabric 1)

.  22cm/9” x 35cm/14” (fabric 2)for inner ears and foot pads

.  10cm/4” x 10cm/4” fluffy fabric for the tail

.  300g/10oz polyfibre, cotton waste or kapok

.  2 x 4cm/1.5” buttons for jointing the neck

.  4 x 2.2cm/1” buttons for jointing the arms and legs

.  260cm/102” length of thread for button jointing Cotton perle works well

.  Matching sewing thread,  sewing needle & pins

.  Good quality acrylic paint for painting the face and foot pads

.  Fabric scissors,  paper scissors, tailor’s chalk or ballpoint pen

.  Soft toy stuffer (a wooden spoon handle works well).

This is a collectors item. Small parts such as buttons can be a choking hazard for very small children. You can thread joint without using buttons.
